About Us
Granico has been in existence from 2007 acting as a Broker for Sea Freight (Imports and Exports) which is our core focus of business. We strictly handle port to port shipments for various cargo types worldwide. We are legit with a valid customs code to operate.
Our Specialty is shipping containerized cargo worldwide. This part of the business
operated successfully up to 2018. During and after Covid-19/Corona business drastically dropped and shipments came to a complete standstill
whereby no shipments were occurring, also the Skills Development Courses were no longer in demand because people were barely making it financially. Hence the next best option for me was to return to the working field and place my company on-hold. I advised the CIPC of my situation and requested them shelve my company until I am able to revive it at a later stage which they did.
This year 2025 I managed to revive my business and started with empowering our youth by offering various small/short term courses within the Maritime Industry. The Basic Shipping Course now consists of 10 Modules which are done theory and practical to raise awareness and job opportunities. My next project is to open a container depot facility and offer a service for storage and handling of various container types.
This will help with job creation for the unemployed and offer internships to Granico Students who have completed the Basic Shipping Course. This will be training for them to put what they have learnt into practice to gain working experience to add to their curriculum vitae. However, for this project to materialize I am seeking suitable land space and investors who are interested and passionate about the Maritime Industry as this will align them with our company’s vision.
